Job Description

Verisk 3E is looking to add a Project Manager to the team.  As a Project Manager, you will support 3E Generate software implementations for new customers and support work orders for existing customers.

Although Canton, OH is the preferred location, we would consider remote work.

In this role you are responsible for:

  • Providing technical design, technical application development/installation and quality assurance effort in the completion of project tasks.
  • Project planning, estimating, tracking and management.  This includes scheduling tasks, deadlines and milestones for all stakeholders and resources.
  • Facilitating regular and effective status meetings with team and clients. Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope and provide leadership and direction to the development and client support staff.
  • Continuous monitoring and reporting on the progress of a project to all stakeholders, via regular and effective status meetings with team and clients.
  • Efficiently and competently manage problems so when the project components go off plan (due to scope-creep, changed requirements, missed deadlines etc.) they can be brought back on plan or the plan can be modified.
  • Intimately understand the requirements of the project and ensure that work proceeds according to specifications, with a high level of quality.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

  • 4-year degree in Business Management, Computer Science or related area required.
  • 1+ years of related experience in a project management or IT management position.
  • Ability to analyze project requirements, compile detailed specifications and provide technical application development.
  • Working knowledge of Project Management and related tools such as Case Complete.
  • Experience with ticketing systems such as JIRA.
  • Experience working with relational databases such as MS SQL Server or Oracle.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; superior customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deliver results by critical deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to act as leader in meetings with clients and staff.
  • Ability to comprehend more complex product interactions and demonstrated troubleshooting skills.

Extra Credit:

  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP is preferred
  • Experience with SAP EH&S data model and system is desirable but not essential
  • Willingness to travel (up to 4 times per year- once normal business travel resumes)
