Technical Service Representative

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field of study, engineering or chemistry or minimum of 5+ years of equivalent work experience in a manufacturing environment providing direct customer technical assistance. Requires strong working knowledge of plastics processing including troubleshooting and preliminary design assistance.

• Develops and grows an understanding and knowledge of Avient’s products

• Individuals in this position must have the ability to actively listen to customers and their opportunities, efficiently troubleshoot problems and implement solutions in a timely and customer focused manner.

• Must have the ability to ask probing questions to truly understand product and market opportunities and to convey these customer technical requirements back to the internal organization in order to develop an approach and to implement a project which will be successful.

• Able to handle large quantities of work and multi-tasking with effective prioritization skills

• Active team player who will effectively work across all functions within Avient

• Computer skills

• Demonstrated analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.

• Strong interpersonal and persuasion skills that will ensure the inclusion of Avient products into the design and function of identified customer products

• Three year minimum of related experience in a plastic processing environment

• Experience with direct customer interaction

• Position will require travel to customer and equipment supplier site locations.
